Why we don’t celebrate halloween

A scary subject

I'm going to be pretty straight forward with this article, without sugarcoating it, I hope you find what's healthiest for you and your family!

Halloween er ikke for kristne

Well, is there anything wrong with dressing up your child as a superhero or something cute for Halloween?

It has been said by a former Satanist, who was the founder of the Satanist Church, that when you dress up, whether it is a costume or paint for Halloween, you also participate in such a way that Satan is allowed, and even given rights to change one’s identity and allow him to own you, by being dedicated to him in that way. This is what is being signaled in the spiritual world, a participation in a praise party for evil.

So it is a darker reality than it seems, but before we look at it:

It’s a party with participation, and not so strange that it is celebrated in the month of October, because in September / October is where the last of God´s 7 feasts land, the very culmination, the completion of the 7 feasts, it is THE PARTY so to speak. The 7th feast is called Sukkot or Feast of Tabernacles. It is a feast of life and life abundantly, a wedding feast, where we are God´s bride, the greatest harvest feast and the reunion with our coming Lord and Saviour Jesus!

No wonder there is a spiritual fight for this month, who do you give your attention to or allegiance, try and ask God what he thinks!

Are you just going with the flow?

and the lie that this is ok for your children?

I’m standing at the counter in a toy store, to buy a present, and I look over to the counter opposite, where I see a little boy throw a hand full of blood on the counter and then a chest full of death related things in it, then I look up to his well-dressed Mother standing by and I’m thinking, does this lady have any idea what she’s doing?

Some are so exhausted that they don’t bother to bring it up, and think it’s ok just because everyone else is doing it, but that’s how many trends will start and have started, more people agree to an idea, and all of a sudden it works ok, because there are more about it.

Some also just think it’s cool that an event can be put together, and it’s festive to celebrate together, but what kind of party is it?

Who in their right mind attends a party for the dead, or at all dresses up as one. It is said that if you are afraid of the haunted and if you are dressed up, the haunted will think you are one of them and then they pass you by, some even put out food out for them that day, or decorate their homes and gardens, with death and horror. But even if you don’t do these things, participation in the party, says a lot about what you allow in your house as well.

The Bible says that we should not fear death, but him who actually has power over death.

Death is the complete opposite of life. That is the very thing our Savior came to give us, life through his death, because we deserved death, Jesus gave his very life to SAVE us from what so many people has made into a celebration! and they call it halloween. It is a direct abomination to God, it is mocking God, and idolatry.

Matthew 10:28

Luke 12:4 – Do not be afraid of those who can kill your body but cannot kill the soul, but fear God, who has authority to cast you into hell.

Hell and its inhabitants are not something to be celebrated or played with!

Some places you can't even take your children out shopping.

Many years ago when I opened my front door I had to look in shock at little cute children dressed like death, it was so horrible I don’t want my own children to see them and I didn’t either . Why, I ask myself, would anyone want to educate their children in such a cruel tradition.

My first child was at school for approx. 1 year before we started homeschooling, we had sold our house so he could go to a Christian school, and it’s a nice school too, but there were a lot of things I didn’t agree with, I was at the meeting etc. to have a good conversation about topics I just didn’t think would happen in a Christian school.

They held a horror theme, to teach the children about different genres, they didn’t call it Halloween, but the children had to be locked in a dark room, then put their hand down in a so-called coffin and a dead hand would stick up, and other creepy things. I think that was absolutely not ok, and was really shocked that we had not been informed about it either. But that I should find out from my child afterwards. The other thing that shocked me was that, the teachers I spoke to didn’t take it so seriously and I almost felt like a laughingstock for bringing it up in a conversation.

With that being said, I want to encourage you who deep down may be struggling with this topic, or don’t know what to do, and are the one who has to make a choice for the sake of your children, things just keep growing in popularity, especially the money making machine business, please do not support a cause like Halloween.

My advice, stay away from it! By all means and include your child in the process at the age they can understand and can tolerate of information, so that the child grows up to be able to see clearly about this matter, I don’t think it is difficult to see why you shouldn’t celebrate Halloween , and I don’t think children do either if they are told about the truth behind this celebration. We do not celebrate and support such a party.

Remember traditions you support, will send a signal to what you accept!

Many respected Christians even celebrate Halloween

and it is therefore admired and thought that, it must be ok.

Here are some things to think about:

1. Scripture says: that we must put away the works of darkness Rom. 13:12 and that light has nothing in common with darkness.

also 2 Cor 6:14 is celebrating a dark festival something a child of light should do?

2. Fear is a prison to live in, who wants to attend a party that has fear as its foundation?

3. Witchcraft is abominable to the Lord Deuteronomy 18:10-13 If something glorifies witchcraft, shouldn’t it also be abominable to a Christian (just going through a shopping center where costumes are on display, etc.)

4. God is life and the Bible is so focused on changing everything that is dead to life. God gave us this earth to work to make it beautiful, why insult our almighty God by decorating death and corruption.

5. Halloween is a holiday for Satanists and witches, should one really join such a party?

6. Is it cute to dress up your children as witches or other scary characters, isn’t it demonic?

7. Whether they’re dressed as a firefighter or otherwise, why participate?

8. What message are you sending your children by letting them participate in such an event?

9. God has ( Sanctified us ) set us aside, for his purpose, and wants people to be able to see a difference in his children. And keep us from the sin and evil of this world. You are God’s property when you belong to him. And He wants life and life in abundance for you!

10. Should other people’s opinions have an influence on your family’s future? Is your concern mostly what people think? or to please your God.

11. Does Halloween give God the glory? No, on the contrary, it glorifies the devil.

12. Jesus and Satan are opposites, when neighbors or other children come by and expect to receive something, give them Jesus! Maybe you have a little pamphlet or book instead to give them. You are the light of the world!

13. Stop justifying why it’s fine to celebrate something demonic and evil, there’s nothing to be confused about. It’s an evil mess, and no matter where you read about it on google, it has nothing to do with us Christians, just because some Christians/Catholics once got the idea to celebrate the dead saints. A Christian should not celebrate Halloween, whether in church, school, or anywhere else. Halloween means All Saints Day, it is an ancient Celtic harvest festival and has no biblical roots or connection whatsoever, even if you can read about ancient Christian customs, don’t let that fool you! It’s a mixed message.

14. Halloween is growing and billions are spent during that time, costumes, candy are on a mega sale. Commercially, it is probably the second biggest holiday of the year in America.

Stop supporting it!

15. Halloween, is a glorification of evil, a realm of darkness, and witchcraft, and he delights in the participation of Christian children and adults.

16. We have the responsibility to teach our children about this subject and be examples to them.

17. Let us turn this as Christians, for we can, He who dwells in us is stronger and greater than he who is in this world. 1 John 4:4

Do not be filled with fear over this article, but act in faith and cover yourself and your family with the blood of Jesus, (Take the Lords Supper and Pray )  He is our Savior!

Have no fellowship with the unfruitful works of darkness, but rather expose them Eph 5:11

We do not die as Christians, we are made to have eternal life, let us celebrate him who has conquered death by his resurrection and gives us life and life in abundance.

God bless!
