School and repetition
Repaet, Repeat, Repeat!
We have to practice and repeat, we know it ourselves when we have to learn something new, how was it, just one more time please.
Repetition is important, children love when they know what we are supposed to do, and they feel that accomplishment. So don’t be afraid to repeat the same thing over and over again.
Many of these examples also show that you dont need a lot of store bought materiels!
Here are more creative examples
Letters
With modeling clay
I am learning a new language (Hebrew) where the letters look completely different from the ones we have, so my understanding of finding out what (new) letters look like has grown. It is a new world and it helps to shape, color and make them yourself.
Joseph was dressed as a postman, and was so excited to be able to write letters himself and put them in his own homemade mailbox.
He couldn’t write words, but wrote down letters that he could see on another piece of paper and then there were letters for all of us! Easy and fun way to get him to copy letters, he had a great time and a easy school lesson, it went like a game 🙂
Stickers
It is a good way to use your coordination.
Paper
A piece of paper, a crayon/pencil and a quick drawing, and the little ones are ready for some learning :)
Draw some fun pictures, shapes, lines, etc. that you can draw or paint on, take some cotton swabs and use them as brushes, just throw them away afterwards = quick cleanup.
Possibly larger drawings for the slightly smaller children.
Things in Nature
It's a hit!
It doesn’t take much, one of the things I can see my children really love is making and tasting their own food!
Or getting their hands dirty and learning about things in nature.
