House Chores for children
House chores that Builds character
- Chores give self-confidence and build character
- Helping to make one feel important and a part of something.
- Be good at explaining the task and correct with encouraging words
- Praise their efforts
- Our big boys wash their own clothes, fold them, vacuum, wash the floor, wipe them, take out the trash, feed the animals, clean their own bathroom, tidy up, etc.
- We are still working on them taking their shoes and jackets on the racket 🙂 it’s like a REPEAT REPEAT REPEAT button.
- Generally it is important to know that everyone should help out.
- We have a rutine that on Fridays it’s the big cleaning day and they really do it with great joy and happiness, without exaggerating, because it’s the only day a week, they are allowed to play on the computer. When they are finished with school and cleaning, it’s gaming time, for an hour a person, which they enjoy together.
- REMEMBER it sounds really nice to be able to say this is your task to a child, but laying a good foundation can vary in time, at home it requires one repetition and reminder after another to get them to do their tasks, some are more diligent then others 🙂
