Chores in the house

Chores that Build Up

opgaver i huset for børn
  1. Chores give self-confidence and build character
  2. Helping to make one feel important and a part of it.
  3. Explain and correct with encouraging words
  4. Praise
  5. Our big boys wash their own clothes, fold them, vacuum, wash the floor, wipe them, take out the trash, feed the animals, clean their own bathroom, tidy up, etc.
  6. We are still working on tasks like taking their own plate and putting it in the dishwasher or putting shoes and jackets in their place 🙂 it’s like a  REPEAT REPEAT REPEAT button.
  7. Generally just helping out.
  8. We have a rule that on Fridays it’s the big cleaning day and they really do it with great joy and happiness, without exaggerating, because it’s the only day they are allowed to play on the computer. When they are finished with school and cleaning, it’s game time.
  9. And then of course there is weekly pocket money, our big boys get 20 kr per man.
  10. REMEMBER it sounds really nice to be able to say this is your task to a child, but laying a good foundation can vary in time, at home it requires one repetition and reminder after another to get them to do their tasks, which is one of my tasks 🙂
